Milosevic Spoke for Arkan

The former Yugoslav president insists that Moslem forces provoked Serbs to commit crimes against them 
At Slobodan Milosevic's trial at the Hague, a protected witness B-1453, former official of the auto police in Bielina, the city to the north of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said that in the middle of 1992 he escorted several trucks which allegedly delivered weapons from Serbia to Bosnia.

Slobodan Milosevic, in his turn, insisted that Moslems besieged Bielina and started attacking Serbs. The witness said in response that "it was the invention of field commander Arkan meant to justify the attacks committed by their armed groups upon Bielina."
 
Earlier, another witness - Sead Omeragic - said that Arkan (the real name is Zeljko Raznatovic) refused to hand over control of Bielina to the Yugoslavian people's army in spring of 1992. He added that Arkan's group occupied the city without permission; where 40 Moslems tragically died.

During that time, Omeragic was a journalist with the Slobodna Bosna newspaper and reported on the visit of the Bosnia and Herzegovina presidium members, Biljana Plavsic and Fikret Abdic to Bielina.

However, Slobodan Milosevic rejected this accusation at the trial. The former Yugoslav president insists that Moslem forces provoked Serbs to committed crimes against them.
