George Person: Response on the Rwanda issue

I think its rather simple why we didn't send troops to Rwanda - If we couldn't quell the political violence of Somalia, then is it really practical to head into Rwanda..to quell their violence, when the result would've been the same?! It would've been "Black hawk Down" all over again...

We didn't send troops because we couldn't win...very plain and simple...America cares very much about the affairs of Africa...and we spend billions of dollars each year helping the birthplace  of humanity...

Africa has a lot of problems, especially the plague of AIDS sweeping through their continent....it will take a miracle to turn this continent completely around....

The world is never going to be a perfect place...but it's up to you not to be a victim...

If you are going to complain about the victims of murder of Rwanda, then certainly, you'll should extend your sympathies towards the victims of Saddam Hussein, giving them the same kind of fervor and anger, over the injustice which ended their lives, as it exacerbates the perceived injustices in your own...and when it comes to defending the indefensible, it a matter of being the devil's advocate....every man is entitled to his day in court to defend his life - only a dog wags his tail and smiles before his master puts him down...even if he was a cockroach, whose level of depravity wreaked havoc upon the Earth.

The best thing to do, is not allow the injustices of the past to dominate and steal your present...yet, try to find ways to use your freedom, as an American, to bring compensation into their lives for the damages they received - even if it's only symbolic...the little things count - you can't weep for everybody, when you live next to a cemetery...
