Justin Alexander: Do you really think it's right for the Iraqi people to pay Saddam's bills?

I just read an English translation of your interesting article on Iraq’s debt The Theatre of Debt Absurdity. I agree with your analysis that the US's call for debt cancellation is out of self interest. However do you really think it's right for the Iraqi people to pay Saddam's bills? I believe Russia's Soviet-era debts should have been written off too. I have recently launched a campaign www.JubileeIraq.org to ensure all Iraq's debts are cancelled – particularly the huge sums owed to Kuwait and Saudi.
