August 6 1945 - Hiroshima, Nuclear Terrorism

The world's first act of nuclear terrorism happened on August 6 1945 when an American pilot dropped the A-bomb on the city of Hiroshima, murdering hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women, children and babies. Like any terrorist strike, it took out a civilian target with a callous and criminal disregard for human life.

This terrorist strike preceded the second on Nagasaki, just days later, in which further hundreds of thousands of civilians were murdered, 67 years ago.  Remembering these events, the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, has stated that "There must never be another nuclear attack - never. The elimination of such weapons is not just a visionary goal, but the most reliable way to prevent their future use."

True, but in today's world of sheer hypocrisy where a clique of countries are run by cabals of corporate elitists who dictate their foreign policy, would it not be more correct to say that international law per se does not exist, or if it does exist, the measures to implement it fairly and squarely do not?

Would it not be more correct to say that Hiroshima and Nagasaki were just the beginning of a long and dark story - count the number of countries attacked and invaded by the USA since the Second World War, and count the number of countries attacked by the Islamic Republic of Iran, for instance.

Would it not be correct to say that Hiroshima and Nagasaki were a statement, an affirmation that diplomacy has stooped to the level of "I can, so I do; if you are big you get to kick ass, if you are small, you get your ass kicked". This is the policy followed by the FUKUS-Axis, France the UK and US, which always existed in several shapes and forms and manifested itself in its hideous cruelty in Libya in 2011, after a carefully planned "revolution" was set in motion, with terrorist groups supported, trained, armed and financed by these countries, turned against a peaceful and prosperous country which has been sent back centuries in terms of social and economic development while its oil is used and more importantly, Colonel Gaddafi's African development projects have been halted. Rule number one of Western diplomacy - Africa is to be "developed" on western terms, not African terms.

Would it not be correct to say that what we see today is precisely the same as Hiroshima or Nagazaki? After all, what did we see in Libya? NATO helicopter gun-ships turned against civilians and Government Forces to aid terrorists, a manhunt for Colonel Gaddafi, we saw special forces deployed against international law, we saw the most spectacular mission creep after the west lied through its teeth once again, destroying any credibility it may once have enjoyed. We saw the murder and slaughter of the Gaddafi grandchildren and not one word of regret from Obama, Clinton, Cameron, Hague, that Sarkozy character and Juppé.

And now we see the same groups of terrorists, or others, backed in Syria against a sovereign government trying to defend itself and its people against marauding gangs of assassins, rapists, torturers, murderers, thieves, looters and arsonists. We see free information stifled through manipulation, lies, hacking attacks, suppression on social networks, death threats.

These are what the West represents. So no, nothing has changed since Hiroshima or Nagazaki and neither will it, until this evil cabal pandering to the whims of the lobbies controlling its policies are sent packing in humiliating and total defeat. What really rankles is the way they are always claiming the higher moral ground of self-righteousness. The siren song of sheer evil.
