On Monday, Tajik President Emomali Rakhmonov and Commander of the US Central Command Tommy Franks discussed acute problems of the anti-terrorist operation in Afghanistan, the peace process in this country and further actions to be taken by the international coalition.

According to Zafar Saidov, the Tajik president's spokesman, the American general informed Rakhmonov about the current stage of the anti-terrorist operation and his perspective of Afghanistan's recovery prospects after the war and development of the regional situation in general.
