An Azerbaijani with a forged passport detained at the Russian-Georgian border

On Monday, an Azerbaijani who had a forged passport on him was detained on the Russian-Georgian border. He tried to illegally enter Russia in a passenger train bound from Minsk to Baku.

At another section of the border, at the Yarag-Kazmalyar checkpoint, border guards prevented a man from entering Russia who provided a passport which was registered as missing.

As the press service of the North Caucasian regional department of the Federal Frontier Service said, more than 450 trespassers and over a thousand of violators of the border regime, 26 of whom are involved in illegal armed formations have been detained on the southern borders of the country since the beginning of this year. Over 70 articles of weapons, 16,600 rounds of ammunition of various caliber, and explosives have been discovered and confiscated.
