Russian and Japanese marine guards to carry out joint exercises
Joint exercises of vessels of the Pacific regional department of theRussian Federal Border Service and the Japanese department of MarineSecurity will be conducted near Sakhalin today, the press service of thePacific regional department of the Federal Border Service reported.Participants of the exercises are to train for cooperation of agencies ofmarine security of the two countries during rescue operations and detainingpoacher vessels. After the exercises are over, it is expected that crews ofthe two parties will meet with each other. .
