Fox News worries: Russia, Iran and Syria set “shock staff”

Russian, Syrian, and Iranian military commanders have created a coordination cell in Baghdad, where cooperation with the Shia militants, backed by Iran, was set to fight the Islamic State fighters, the American Fox News information channel reported anxiously.

The staff comprises Russian low-level generals, the US journalists claim, referring to unnamed sources. At the same time, they admit that the US authorities have no information on the Iraqi government involvement.

As Pravda.Ru reported, Moscow did not confirm the deployment of its troops in Syria. Weapons are supplied to Damascus given international agreements.

The Presidents of the US and Russia are to discuss the prospects and possibilities of joint political settlement in Syria, Ben Rhodes, deputy national security adviser for strategic communication for U.S. President Barack Obama claimed.
