Barack Obama calls Afghan president "Karzai" instead of Ahmadzai

During a joint press conference, Obama spoke about the plans of the United States to preserve US troops in the country, Pravda.Ru reports. However, Obama would falter when addressing his Afghan counterpart, TASS reports. The US president called the Afghan president "Karzai" instead of Ahmadzai.

Noteworthy, Hamid Karzai is a former president of Afghanistan, who led the country from 2004 to 2014.

President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai tried not to pay attention to Obama's error. Reporters noted that Obama could not remember the name of his Afghan counterpart even though the leaders had been communicating for two days already, let alone the fact that Ahmadzai headed Afghanistan two years ago.
