MEPs go to Russia to 'abolish sanctions'

Members of the European Parliament, who created a supranational union to reestablish dialogue with Russia are going to Russia. Members of the Parliament stand for reconsidering the EU-Russian relations, and lifting the sanctions.

The group consists of the French diplomats, an Italian politician Elisabetta Gardini, member of "Forward Italy" party, led by Silvio Berlusconi, as well as British, German, and Portuguese MPs.

Nadine Morano, representative of the Nicolas Sarkozy's party "The Republicans" is the leader of the group. She also initiated a colloquium to discuss aggravation of the economic relations between Moscow and Brussels given sanctions and food embargo in the European Parliament.

The MEPs are going to extend their union and manage to revise sanctions against Russia.

"Due to the Russian food embargo, the EU has already lost €21 billion since the beginning of the embargo, and could lose up to €81 billion over time. For the French agricultural sector, the food embargo has been dramatic, and we can all see the direct effects of the government's international policy," Morano claimed.

Pravda.Ru reported that, the French delegation arrived to Crimea to "see what is really happening in Crimea with their own eyes".
