Russian Prime Minister to pay a working visit to China
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov will pay a working visit to China on Tuesday evening. On Wednesday evening, the Russian Premier will meet businessmen of the People's Republic of China. On Thursday, August 22nd, the seventh regular meeting of the heads of government of Russia and China will take place in Shanghai.
After the meeting between Mikhail Kasyanov and Premier of the Chinese State Council Zhu Zhongzi, the Russo-Chinese inter-governmental negotiations will continue in an enlarged format. The same day, Mikhail Kasyanov will set out for Beijing.
The Russian Prime Minister and PRC Chairman Jiang Zemin are expected to meet in Beijing on Friday, August 23rd. The same evening, Mikhail Kasyanov will return to Moscow.
In 2001, goods turnover between Russia and China went up by 25% compared with the year 2000 and topped ten billion US dollars.
