North Korea swears to be Russian friend

The official Pyongyang is intent on doing everything possible to strengthen friendly relations with Russia. The stance is indicated in the article published in the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea 'Rodong Sinmun'.

The article is published on the occasion of 15^th anniversary of Vladimir Putin's visit to the country.

It also considers the prospect of cooperation between North Korea and the Russian Federation.

It is pointed out, that the relations between the two states are historically amicable, and their further strengthening depends on the will of the people.

It is also highlighted, that the DPRK will do everything possible for further rapprochement and cooperation.

We shall remind, that 15 years ago Vladimir Putin signed a joint declaration with Kim Jong-il
