Ukraine's Yatsenyuk to conquer world markets

 

The government of Ukraine announces new food policies, the goal of which is to conquer foreign markets and supply Ukrainian food products on the domestic market of Ukraine, Prime Minister Yatsenyuk said presenting the program of the activities of the cabinet of minister at a government meeting. 

"It is unacceptable when agrarian state number one in Europe imports a half of food products. We should export, rather than import,"  he said. 

"We set ourselves the task to develop the law about land, but our key objectives include the enactment of the law about long-term lease of land and the completion of the formation of the State Land Cadastre, which today, unfortunately, is only five percent ready. Without these two points, the effective development the agricultural sector of Ukraine is impossible," said the Prime Minister.

Yatsenyuk also plans to develop small and medium-sized businesses in rural areas. Entrepreneurs in this sphere will receive local agricultural markets in their disposal, where they will be able to sell their products for the needs within Ukraine.

In addition, the government introduces to the parliament a draft law on State Material Reserves, one of the functions of which will be to ensure food security of Ukraine. To crown it all, a new version of the law on state support for agriculture is to be submitted to the parliament as well.
