Two patients, who were hospitalized over the suspicion of being infected with a  new coronavirus, have died in Saudi Arabia. Thus, the total number of deaths from the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in the country has reached 38.

The number of patients has increased to 65 people, according to the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom.

Earlier, Russia's chief sanitary doctor warned tourists about the risk of the infection and offered to find an alternative to summer holidays in the United Arab Emirates.

The new virus emerged in late 2012. For the time being, the virus has complicated the life of only nine countries located in the Middle East. In addition to Saudi Arabia, the list of affected countries includes Jordan, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
