Ben Roethlisberger Accused of Sexual Assault in Georgia

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's night of bar-hopping in a central Georgia college town ended with a new allegation against him after a 20-year-old college student told police he sexually assaulted her in a nightclub.

The two-time Super Bowl winner already faces a lawsuit from a woman who claims he raped her in 2008 at a Lake Tahoe hotel and casino, an allegation he strongly denies. Roethlisberger has not been charged in either case.

The latest accusation came early Friday in downtown Milledgeville, about 85 miles southeast of Atlanta and about 30 miles south of the lake home the player owns, The Associated Press reported.

The unidentified woman claims she was "sexually assaulted or sexually manipulated" by a man, police said. The woman, treated and released from Oconee Regional Medical Center, described her attacker as 6-foot-5, and 241 pounds, though she did not name Roethlisberger, who just turned 28, as the perpetrator.

"The woman approached one of our officers in the downtown area near Capital City saying she'd been sexually assaulted," by the suspect described in the police report, Milledgeville Police spokesman David McNeely told the AJC.

Police said the incident took place between 11 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 a.m. at the Capital City nightclub near downtown Milledgeville and the GCSU campus.

"He's been identified as being at the scene," Milledgeville police Deputy Chief Richard Malone said, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Ryan Tollner, Roethlisberger’s agent said, “We have spoken to law enforcement. Based on information currently available, an allegation was made against Ben, which appeared to be dismissed after a preliminary investigation last night.”

This all after Roethlisberger is facing a civil suit relating to an incident in 2008, where Andrea McNulty claims Ben Raped in a Lake Tahoe hotel room.

The Steelers have no comment at this time as they are still gathering all the facts, Football News Now reports.
