An exhibition of Russian avant-garde painting, one of the largest exhibitions of this kind, opened in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. The exposition features paintings, created by Russian artists in 1900-1932 and 1960-1980. The exhibition "Artists, Who Outstripped the Time" presents the works by Kazimir Malevich, Mikhail Larionov, Natalia Goncharova, Vassily Kandinsky and other artists, whose creative activity wasn't officially acknowledged in the Soviet times.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Moscow government and several Russian museums. After the show in Croatia, it will move to other European countries. Croatian Prime Minister Iviza Racan and other officials attended the opening of the exhibition.
