Australians get new religion - Jedi

A recent population census in Australia revealed a very surprising fact. Over 70 thousand people (about 0.37% of the population) wrote “Jedi” in religion line.

Experts say that this “religion” appeared in March of 2002. Someone sent emails, asking people to become Jedis during the population census. Stating false information in official documents is considered a fraud and its legally persecuted. However, a lot of Australian people accepted the appeal and became Jedi knights – the characters of George Lucas’ smash movie hit.
