Supermodel Miranda Kerr Weds Orlando Bloom Month After Engagement

Supermodel Miranda Kerr, who was raised in an Australian country town, has married her Hollywood leading man, Orlando Bloom, just a month after the couple announced their engagement.

Kerr, 27, who shot to international fame as a Victoria's Secret lingerie model, and Bloom, 33, star of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "The Lord of the Rings" movies, began dating in 2007 and have frequently denied rumors of an impending wedding.

But the couple's publicists last month confirmed that this time the reports were true and they were engaged, Reuters informs.

Bloom and Kerr made their first public appearance in April 2008 at Sydney's Doncaster Day at the Randwick Racecourse. That same weekend, the Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean actor also met her parents.

Last year, when the two spent Thanksgiving together in Morocco, Bloom told reporters he and Kerr were "just enjoying our time together now" when asked if they planned to wed anytime soon, according reports in People Magazine.
