International Summit for Development of Information-Oriented Society Taking Place in Moscow

An international summit of the G8 nations and other leading countries National Strategies for the Development of an Information-Oriented Society. Experience, problems and perspectives(E-WORLD) will take place today in Moscow. According to the organising committee, participants at the summit will discuss the problems of Russia's development and entry into a global information-oriented society. To achieve this goal, it is essential that Russia becomes familiar with the strategies and experience of leading nations in this sphere.

It is expected that Russian Minister of Communications Leonid Reiman, Finnish Transport and Communications Minister Kimmo Sasi, German Minister of Economy and Technology Alfred Takke and IBM Director of Global Electronic Government Programmes Katie Herningi will take part in the summit.
