Egypt wants Russian tourists flowing in, despite combat action

Egypt's Minister for Tourism, Hisham Zaazua, urged Russia to lift the ban on the sale of tours to the country.

According to the minister, he understands the concern of Russian diplomats, but insists that the situation on Egyptian resorts was "completely stable and safe."

He also called on the Russian authorities to send experts to Red Sea resorts to personally assess the level of security to lift the ban, at least partially. According Zaazua, similar applications were sent to other European countries.
