Japanese designer has world's highest hairstyle

Japanese designer Kazuhiro Watanabe demonstrated his super hairstyle, a Mohawk, in New York. His Mohawk was almost 113 centimeters in height, which earned it an entry into the Guinness Book of Records for 2013. Today, the 57th edition of the book will hit the stores in the U.S. and several other countries.

"It was not easy to do, but I'm really glad that I became number one in the world!" the 40-year-old designer said of his unusual hairstyle.

Watanabe has been dreaming to get into the Guinness Book for 20 years. To become the owner of the highest hair in the world, the Japanese man has been growing his hair for 15 years. The Mohawk was created by three hairstylists, who used three bottles of hair spray and a bottle of special gel, according to Vesti.ru.

"It's quite expensive to put it up every day, so I do it on special occasions - for parties or setting a record," said the Japanese designer.

If 400 of such Mohawks are put together, their total height will be comparable to the height of Empire State Building in NYC.

The Guinness Book of Records is published in 22 languages ​​in more than 100 countries. In 2013, publishers are going to sell about 2.7 million copies of the book.
