The Russian Prosecutor's Office is negotiating with the Turkish side the question of issuing additional documents needed to extradite Movladi Udugov, a leader of Chechen separatists. This information was disclosed on Wednesday by Sergei Fridinsky, the Deputy Russian Prosecutor General who is in charge of the Southern Federal District. All documents needed to extradite Udugov in line with international standards, were submitted to the Turkish side last year, the Deputy Prosecutor General added. The Turks raised the issue of submitting additional documents several days ago, but exact demands remain as yet unclear. Nevertheless, the North Caucasian Department of the Russian Prosecutor General's office is currently discussing these issues with Turkish representatives and is ready to prepare any necessary documentation. Sergei Fridinsky stressed that investigation into Udugov's case had all necessary materials and issuing additional documentation is a "technical problem."
