Yakutia helps disabled individuals get work

Yakutia's Employment Center will hold a special job fair for disabled individuals of the republic. Official spokespeople for Social Support Department, the Principal Bureau of the Medical and Social Expertise, public organizations of disabled individuals and employers of the city of Yakutsk will take part in the event.

The Employment Center of Yakutsk in cooperation with the social support of the capital will honor the employers who follow the law of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) "About quoting jobs for disabled individuals."

According to SakhaNews, assisting in the employment for disabled individuals or those who have restricted abilities for work is being conducted in accordance with personal interests of a person, their professional qualities, transport availability of the possible workplace, etc. The recommendations of the individual program for rehabilitation of disabled individuals are also taken into account.

The Employment Center of the city of Yakutsk sticks to special technologies in working with disabled individuals. Selecting a job for a job seeker relies on recommendations for employment. The recommendations are indicated in individual rehabilitation programs. In case there are no adequate vacancies found, specialists offer disabled individuals a course of professional training or retraining.

In addition, within the scope of the Decade of Disabled Individuals, the committee for supporting the disabled individuals of Yakutsk gathered for a special session. Specialists provided consultations to disabled schoolchildren about the issues of their further possible employment.
