Robotic Surgery Is Both Future of Medicine and Business

Roswell Park's Center for Robotic Surgery and UB's Engineering and Applied Sciences Department are teaming up to train doctors on robotic surgery. They unveiled the world's first simulators to teach robotic surgery.

UB and Roswell launched a new business called Simulated Surgical Systems to sell the device to medical schools and hospitals.

Kesh Kesavadas is a UB professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He compares the simulator those used by airline pilots.
