Apple to release iPad Mini in 2012
Apple is going to surprise its fans with a new version of its hugely popular iPad. The presentation of the new gadget may take place during the first months of 2012.
The news was revealed by AppleInsider website with reference to Brian White. The analyst has recently visited China and Taiwan, where he had meetings with the makers of Apple spare parts. White was told that Apple was planning the release of the new version of its tablet - iPad mini. The word "mini" does not mean that the new tablet will be smaller in size. It only implies a lower price, Adindex.ru website said.
Apple's new gadget will become a competitor to Amazon Fire. The new iPad mini will be available at $200, Lenta.ru says.
During the second quarter of 2012, Apple is going to unveil the new iPad 3. The new model will be priced at $500-700.
It was previously said that Apple was intended to launch the production of a cheaper version of its iPhone. It was even said that the gadgets would be called iPhone Nano, similarly to iPod Nano. However, time showed that this strategy does not engage Apple's interest much. Therefore, one shall assume that the news about iPad mini may never materialize.
