Six Globalstar spacecraft successfully separated from the booster rocket and entered orbit. As of now, the control of the satellites of the Russian Space Agency has already been transferred to the customer.

The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a booster rocket with satellites on board took place last night from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The launch had been previously postponed due to bad weather conditions.

These ordinary space launches have received increased attention over a series of disasters that have been following the Russian space industry during the recent years. In particular, a Zenit rocket crashed into the ocean last week. The rocket was launched from the Sea Launch platform in the Pacific Ocean.
