Federation Council Official Resigns

Head of the press service of the Russian Federation Council Yury Algunov announced in an interview with journalists that he had tendered his resignation today. He refused to give any comments and mentioned that "new rules of the game on the information field make it impossible to work professionally." Algunov was in charge of the Federation Council's press service since the establishment of the parliament's upper house in 1993.
