Dollar rate remains unchanged at UTS
Early at this morning's US dollar session, the average-weighted exchangerate amounted to 31.57 RUR/USD remaining at yesterday's level. Commercialbank dealers point to the fact that the dollar rate has been unchanged atthe special session despite a considerable increase in the dollar rate onthe interbank market on August 29. Yesterday, the high on deals amountedto 31.62-31.63 RUR/USD at the afternoon session eventually exceeding theofficial rate as of August 30, 2002, by RUR0.05-0.06. At the beginning oftoday's UTS, even the high on deals has not overcome 31.57 RUR/USD..
