Improved situation with ruble liquidity pushes dollar up at special session
The average-weighted dollar exchange rate reached 31.57 rubles in the firsthalf of today's morning trading session. In other words, it gained 0.02rubles. In addition, the low on today's deals amounted to USD/RUR31.58 andthe high was USD/RUR31.58.Experts reason this ruble weakening against the dollar was due to animproved situation with ruble liquidity and the appearance of additionalfree ruble resources on the market. The main evidence that commercial bankshave no problems with ruble resources now is low one-day credit rates,which are below 5 percent. On August 27, one-day ruble credit rates werearound 10 percent, i.e. two times higher compared to this morning. .
