Dollar rate drops on ruble deficit
The weighted average dollar exchange rate was at RUR 31.55 in the firsthalf of this morning's trading session on the Russian currency market. Thismeans that the dollar rate went down RUR 0.03 against the previous closing.Experts stressed that even the high on dollars was much lower than theofficial exchange rate for Tuesday.Currency analysts linked the strengthening of the ruble against the UScurrency at the unified trading session today to the worsening of rubleliquidity and some ruble deficit observed on the market.
