Platinum Is In Vogue
Aquarius Platinum plans to raise its local production of platinum group metals to 800 000 ounces a year within four years.
Aquarius South Africa is producing 240 000 ounces at Kroondal, its first operation, near Rustenburg in the North West.
The company is planning to start operations on two new mines and it is to double its production next year. Although Mimosa's second expansion planned earlier has not yet been approved by the board.
The additional boost may also come from Everest South, the company's newest project.
