Alberta FutureVest To Aquire AltaCanada
Alberta FutureVest Corporation announced today that it has acquired a total of 31,000 additional common shares of AltaCanada Energy Corp. These shares were acquired in the public market and were obtained by FutureVest for investment purposes. These securities together with the 1,898,000 common shares of AltaCanada previously acquired by FutureVest, along with 747,600 common shares of AltaCanada currently held by Josef Hodel, the sole shareholder of FutureVest, represent a total of 10.1% of the issued and outstanding shares of AltaCanada. Neither FutureVest nor Josef Hodel have any immediate intention to purchase any additional shares, but may purchase additional shares from time to time for investment purposes. FutureVest and Josef Hodel do not intend to obtain a control position in AltaCanada.
