Finance Ministry to make payment to IMF
The Russian Finance Minister will make another payment to the InternationalMonetary Fund amounting to 41,666,667 SDR (special drawing rights) onSeptember 6, 2002, which is ahead of the schedule, the press service of theFinance Ministry told RBC. The date of this payment, in accordance with thepayment schedule, is September 7, which is a day-off, that is why thepayment will be made a day before, the press service stressed. The precisesum of the payment in euros will be defined on the day of the payment.On the whole, Russia is to pay off about $1.5bn in debts to the IMF thisyear. .
