Baltika's Share of Russian Beer Market Grows by 2.3%

The Baltika Brewing Company's share of the Russian market grew by 2.3% in the first 6 months of 2002, compared to the same period last year. It now stands at 23.4%. This announcement was made today by Baltika's press office. Overall results for 2001 gave Baltika 22.5% of the domestic beer market. The company produced 1.4 billion litres of beer last year.

Baltika's capital stands at USD 3,845,497 (120,572,800 roubles). It is divided into 107,087,200 ordinary shares and 13,485,600 privileged shares of a value of 1 rouble. 75% of Baltika's shares are held by the Scandinavian concern Baltic Beverages Holding. Baltika has three breweries, in St. Petersburg, Rostov and Tula.
