Data on Surgutneftegaz profits released
Sales profits of the Surgutneftegaz oil and gas company amounted toRUR31.152bn (about $986.73m) in the first half of 2002 declining by 24percent as compared to the corresponding period of 2001. As a report of thecompany says, Surgutneftegaz sales revenues (VAT, excises and othercompulsory payments not taken into account) gained RUR7.434bn (about$235.47m) in the first six months of 2002 against the level of 2001 andreached RUR80.593bn (about $2.55bn). Balance profits of the company wereRUR26.796bn (about $848.75m) decreasing by RUR11.025bn (about $349.21m) ascompared to the corresponding figure of 2001. Business expenses ofSurgutneftegaz went up by RUR757.928m (about $24.01m) and reachedRUR5.535bn (about $175.32m)..
