RusAl official comments on corporate problems in Russia
Insufficient financial openness of Russian companies causes problems when they are entering foreign markets, RusAl deputy general director Alexander Livshits announced at a round-table meeting devoted to Russia's default in 1998. He stressed this was one of the most important factors, taking into account the recent scandals around large corporations in the USA.
Livshits reported a noticeable rise in the level of political support to large companies. Nevertheless, he stressed that the state was not using rather large reserves for support of businesses.
