Ukrainian gas output was 1.534bn cubic meters in May 2002
The volume of gas production grew 1.6 percent to 1.534 billion cubic meters in May 2002 in Ukraine as compared to the similar period of last year. According to the press service of Naftogaz of Ukraine, a Ukrainian gas company, its gas output was 1.468 billion cubic meters in the reporting period, an increase of 0.9 percent as compared to the figure reported in May 2001. The total volume of gas production was 7.727 billion cubic meters in Ukraine within the first five months of 2002 (an increase of 1 percent as compared to the similar period of last year), while the gas output of Naftogaz of Ukraine was 7.427 billion cubic meters (an increase of 0.4 percent as compared to the figure posted in January-May 2001).
