Russian cabinet to check country's forecast mid-term development indices
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov has instructed the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade in association with Russian entrepreneurs to check the country's forecast mid-term social and economic development indices. The premier said this at a press conference.
At a recent meeting of the Entrepreneurship Council Russian industrialists were critical of certain indices of the governmental forecast, Kasyanov said. He believes criticism was due to erroneous assessment of development of "this or that industry". The Economic Development Ministry's appraisal of different industries' activities did not coincide with the entrepreneurs' vision of the situation, the Premier said.
Kasyanov expressed hope that the new assessment of the industries' development prospects will not bring about major changes in the general figure of the forecast economic growth and inflation rate.
