Russian stock market opens lower - 16 October, 2002
Highly liquid Russian shares have been traded in different directions on the Russian stock market today. Traders point out that after yesterday's growth, the market is inclined to a downward correction. This tendency is promoted by a decrease in the futures of US stock indices. The majority of securities dropped at the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange in the first minutes of the trade. According to expert forecasts, the Russian stock market will be going down slightly, waiting for new data on corporate reports in the USA.
