RAO UES pre-tax profit eases back
RAO UES's pre-tax profit decreased to 6.97bn rubles ($221.3m) in the second quarter of 2002 compared to 11.059bn rubles ($351.08m) in the corresponding period last year and 23.364bn rubles ($741.7m) in the first quarter of 2002, a source in the energy holding told RBC.
As it was reported earlier, the company's net profit amounted to 17.533bn rubles ($556.6m) in the first quarter of 2002. It was a result of revenues from the holding's participation in the operation on resolving the situation concerning Russia's debt to the Czech Republic, the representative specified.
