During the past week, Deutsche Telekom AG, the largest in Germany cable TV operator, stopped broadcasting several foreign TV channels, including Russia's NTV. Agreements with subscribers were annulled unilaterally.

However, according to NTV spokesman, the broadcasts of the channel in Germany will continue but by a different operator. Subscribers will now have to pay one third less but will need to sign new individual user's agreements.

In the meantime, the new partners of NTV have no representatives in several federal lands, including the Northern Rein where about 1.5 million residents are Russian speakers. These people will not be able to watch NTV any time soon.
