GAZ resumes car production
The GAZ car manufacturer will resume car production today. "A temporary break in car production won't affect the 2002 business results," a source in the press service of the factory reported in an interview with RosBusinessConsulting.
It is worth mentioning that car production was temporarily interrupted on July 26. GAZ officials explained this by the necessity of restructuring car and lorry production as well as changes on the automobile market.
In the second half of 2002, GAZ is planning to produce more than 98,200 cars, including 35,300 passenger cars. In the first half of 2002, these numbers were 97,927 and 36,730 respectively.
