The Sberbank of Russia and the federal Reconciliation and Cooperation Fund of Austria began the next round of monetary assistance payments to Russia's citizens, former prisoners of Nazi concentration camps forced to work in Austria during WW2. The total number of recipients from 79 regions of Russia is supposed to amount to 2,830. Most of them reside in the Bryansk (239), Kursk, (226), and Rostov (211) regions.

According to the press service of Russia's Sberbank, each person who was a slave working Austria's state establishments during the war will receive EUR 2,544. Those who were forced to work in agricultural and timber companies and in services industry will be paid EUR 1,453 each. Women who gave birth in special birth houses for slaves or had to undergo forced abortions will additionally receive EUR 363 each.

For those who would rather be paid in Russian roubles, the Sbrbank of Russia will organise exchange operations following a single rating and withholding no commission. The amounts unpaid, for whatever reasons, Sberbank will return to the Reconciliation and Cooperation Fund of Austria to be paid out during the next round of payments.
