Africa Boosts Energy Production

Energy Africa Ltd has recently added some 6,000 barrels of oil per day to its net production. It became possible only due to its start-up of new production at its four-well development based in Alba Extreme South area in the UK's North Sea, as well as two separate projects in Gabon. Collectively all three fields would add some 6,000 barrels of oil per day.

Energy Africa has an 8% interest in the North Sea development which would initially add over 50,000 barrels of oil per day to the total Alba production.

Production was from four new sub-sea wells tied back to the Alba Northern Platform. These four wells would be further supplemented by a water injection well and two additional producing wells by early 2003.
