Prince in getting married, power collapses
The engagement of the Dutch Crown prince Willem-Alexander and Argentinean Maxima Zorregita will be officially announced on Friday. This matter was discussed on Thursday by PM Wim Kok and heads of all the Parliamentary fractions of the country at a closed-door conference. Prince may resign the throne for Maxima. According to the law of Holland, the marriage of the members of the royal family should be approved by parliament. Otherwise, they will not reserve the right to throne. Maxima Zorregita comes from a prosperous Argentinean family of Basque and German blood. The problem of the lovers is that Maxima’s father held a high post in the Argentinean military junta and he is suspected of violation of human rights.
