Nizhny Novgorod governor improves citation ratings

The governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Valery Shantsev rose in the citation rating of popular bloggers-heads of Russian regions in June. The rating is based on the citation of governors' blogs in the media. The positions of the governor have improved in comparison with May figures by five points - Shantsev took the eighth position among the heads of Russian regions.

The rating of independent Russian research company Medialogiya, compiled in June 2012, included the head of the Russian regions, who have their blogs on the Internet. In June, the governor of Nizhny Novgorod left behind the heads of Astrakhan, Ulyanovsk, Tula, Orenburg and Ivanovo regions.

The top ten of the rating included the head of Primorsky Krai, Vladimir Miklushevsky, Krasnodar region Governor Alexander Tkachev, Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko, the president of North Ossetia, Teimuraz Mamsurov, the head of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug Natalia Komarova and Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, Mikhail Yurevich. The first position in the rating was taken by Kirov region governor Nikita Belykh.

Currently Valery Shantsev has two blogs: on Livejournal and Twitter. The Governor's Livejournal blog opened in April 2010, his Twitter account started working in May 2011. As of 2011, Shantsev entered the top five of the media rating of the heads of Russian regions, whose blogs were quoted most frequently in the Russian media.
