Russia’s television NTV aired a video tape shot inside the building where the terrorists are holding the hostages. According to an NTV correspondent, the journalists talked to camouflaged and masked terrorists; only one of the six had no mask on his face. The man said his name was Musar Barayev; he is actually a nephew of Arbi Barayev, the famous Chechen terrorist leader killed in Chechnya.

Two terrorists from the group who talked to NTV journalists were women; they had pistols in their hands. Some packs with wires were attached to their belts; the terrorists said that these were explosive devices.

One of the journalists reported that the terrorists don’t need any weapons as they have got enough guns, pistols, and grenades. It is also reported that no children below 12 are left in the building. Those who are older than 12 still remain hostages. The terrorists don’t consider them children, as Chechens older than 12 already fight in wars.
