Kim Chong-il hospitably entertained in Khabarovsk
Chairman of the Chinese Defense Committee Kim Chong-il was hospitablyentertained today in Khabarovsk at a railway station. The personal train ofthe Defense Committee's Chairman arrived exactly on time at 9:15, localtime. Among the officials meeting him was Commander of the Far EastMilitary District General Colonel Yury Yakubov, however, there were neithergovernor of the Khabarovsk region Viktor Ishayev, nor Senior DeputyChairman of the regional government Vladimir Popov. As the press service of the government of the Khabarovsk region reported toRosBusinessConsulting, the Chinese leader's one-day itinerary includes avisit to Dalkhimfarm, the largest Russian Far East pharmaceutical plant,and Amurkabel, which supplies electric and telephone cables to the citiesof the region. Thursday afternoon will be dedicated to the Chineseofficial's visit to the Far East Military District. It is possible that KimChong-il will visit Vyatskoye village located 70 km away from Khabarovsk,where he was born. On Thursday evening the train of the Chinese delegationwill leave Khabarovsk for Vladivostok, where Kim Chong-il is scheduled tomeet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday.
