Sukhoi PAK FA T-50 fifth-generation fighter to enter army service in 2016

The official said that pilots currently test the abilities and performance of the T-50 fifth-generation aircraft at the State Flight Test Center in Akhtyubinsk.

"I would like to say it again that this is a remarkable aircraft. It has a great potential. A pilot will only need to control the work of the on-board electronic equipment," the official said, adding that the new plane will justify all expectations.

According to Australian experts, the Russian fifth generation fighter T-50 is in many ways superior to state-of-the-art US-made F-22 and F-35 airplanes.

In comparison with US fifth generation fighter F-22 and F-35, the Russian T-50 is equipped with a more sophisticated guidance system of on-board weapons. The system allows the aircraft to lock on a target and hit it when the target is out of sight.

In addition, the T-50 has a revolutionary technology of optical-radar detection, as well as a new radar. The latter is even more advanced than the radar of the US-made F-35, not to mention the Raptor.

The serial production of Sukhoi PAK FA T-50 is to start in 2016.
