16-year old schoolboy seized hostage at St Petersburg metro, killed a policeman and attempted suicide

The details of the accident, occurred in St Petersburg metro today, are gradually being clarified. Pravda.ru has already announced that a murder was committed at underground railway station Ulitsa Dybenko. It became known now, that primary information, published by Pravda.ru earlier, was not quite correct. The 16-year-old criminal, who is already identified now, seized an employee of metro as a hostage at about 11:30 Moscow Time. A policeman, who tried to render help to the hostage, was stabbed with a knife and died. The teenagers took the gun of the killed man and began to fire at another policeman, emerged at the station. The policeman was wounded. At 11:45 all the people were evacuated from the station. Trains passed it without stoppages. The special subdivisions of the Main Department of Internal Affairs arrived at the site of occurrence. They were going to take the station by storm. Further events are still unknown. It was reported that the criminal had tried to shot himself with a gun. Some sources say he died, other say his is injured.
